Lucy Plahmer, owner of WeatherYourWay, has combined
her expertise in meteorology and customer service to
bring to you the weather website you have been waiting for!
Born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin, Lucy experienced extreme
weather from an early age. Especially memorable were devastating
summer tornadoes such as the Barneveld Tornado and waist-high
winter snow storms.

Lucy became interested in becoming a meteorologist at the age of
10.
Ironically, one of the best schools in Atmospheric and
Oceanic Sciences
was
just down the street at the University of Wisconsin.
 
After graduating in December 1993, Lucy was hired as a
meteorologist intern at the National Weather Service office in
Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She transferred to the Lincoln, Illinois
office in July of 1995 and became a forecaster in 1998.
After the birth of her third child in the summer of 2004, Lucy
made a decision to leave the National Weather Service to bring
you WeatherYourWay!
